Overview of the Customer Service Representative

The company offers two different levels for this position; Customer Service Representative I and Customer Service Representative II, which requires more experience. 

This is a basic overview of both positions.

Responsibilities

Some of the basic duties include the following: 

  • Answering inbound telephone calls, emails, and live chats from customers.
  • Assisting customers with questions regarding the purchase of health insurance products.
  • Providing each customer with outstanding customer service.
  • Ensuring each customer inquiry is responded to quickly and thoroughly.
  • Assisting customers with navigating the company’s online insurance shopping tool.
  • Assisting existing customers with basic billing or administration questions.
  • Providing customers with product updates.

Education and Qualifications Needed

To be considered for one of these customer service positions, you must meet the following:

  • Have between one and three years of previous customer service or sales experience.
  • Must be highly productive.
  • Have the ability to handle work in a high-volume call center setting.
  • Must be familiar with CRM and support ticketing software.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a passion for helping customers.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to remain professional and positive in any situation.

Technical Requirements

Since you will be speaking to customers over the phone, you will need a quiet home office that is free from distractions along with high-speed internet service.

Work Schedules
