Overview of the Customer Support Specialist Role
Responsibilities
Some of the duties of this position include:
- Represent the Shopbop brand.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide all customers with outstanding customer service.
- Effectively and efficiently handle all customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist customers with domestic and international shipping inquiries by working with shipping contractors.
- Ensure all data captured from customers is accurate.
- Display comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services.
- Make use of various company software to ensure all customer inquiries get resolved.
Education and Qualifications Needed
To be considered for the Customer Support Specialist position, you must have the following:
- A high school diploma or a GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web browsers, and other desktop applications.
- Ability to quickly learn new desktop applications and websites.
- Be comfortable working with computers and smartphones.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining productivity and service metrics.
- Ability to calculate refunds, discounts, and percentages.
Technical Requirements
You’ll need to have a quiet home office or workspace away from other people and noise.
You’ll also need to have high-speed, hard-wired internet service. Wi-Fi or satellite internet is not permitted.
The company will provide a computer for work.
Work Schedules
This position is full-time. The company’s call center operates 365 days a year from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Central Standard Time. You must be able to work a set schedule anytime within these hours, including weekends and holidays.
Overtime may be required during peak times, such as holidays.
Training
All training is completed remotely and paid for by the company.
