Overview of the Customer Care Representative

Responsibilities

Some of the duties of the Customer Care Representative include:

  • Answering inbound calls from customers and members.
  • Answering questions regarding member benefits.
  • Answering questions about the authorization of services.
  • Providing assistance to members and customers promptly.
  • Giving accurate information to customers regarding their accounts.
  • Assisting customers with billing errors and questions.

Education and Qualifications Needed

Some of the requirements include:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to be empathetic with customers.
  • Must be a self-starter and have an excellent work ethic.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent computer and telephone skills.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Overview of the Provider Service Representative

Responsibilities

Some of the duties of the Provider Service Representative include:

  • Assisting members with coverage.
  • Answering member questions regarding claim payments.
  • Estimating how much members must pay for out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Meeting and exceeding established performance goals.

Education and Qualifications Needed

Some of the requirements include:

  • Must have at least one year of customer service experience in a healthcare provider setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and keyboarding.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Technical and Home Office Requirements for Both Positions

You must have a quiet home office and high-speed internet service.
BroadPath will furnish a laptop.

Training for Both Positions

All training is 100% remote and is completed at home; you don’t need to train on-site. Training is also paid.

Pay and Benefits

The pay for these positions isn’t listed in the job postings. However, according to Glassdoor’s website, the hourly wage is between $12 and $20 per hour, depending on the position.
Benefits are offered to permanent employees, but not to seasonal or temporary employees.
