Get-Paid-To Websites

I make money on some of the products and services I mention on Thinking Frugal through affiliate relationships. I never endorse a product or service unless I believe it will benefit my readers.

Get-Paid-To websites, also known as GPT websites, are fun and easy ways of making some extra cash in your spare time. These are also commonly known as beer money sites.

These are in no way jobs, and you won’t make a lot of money, but you can definitely make a couple of hundred dollars a month if you have several devices. You can run videos of several sites at the same time, on different devices, to increase earnings. Just make sure when you do this, not to run any owned by the same company at the same time. This could result in a ban from the site. To check this, scroll to the bottom of the website, and you should be able to see the parent company name.

I’m not sure exactly how many of these sites exist, but I know there are well over 100 of them. In this post though, I’m only going to go over those that I have personally used.

What is a Get-Paid-To Website?

Basically, get-paid-to sites are reward and loyalty sites. You sign up for free and you earn for completing tasks.

They usually have a variety of ways to earn, which include taking surveys, watching videos, surfing the web, shopping through their website, and signing up for trial offers.

Each time you complete a particular task, you’re awarded points. After you have enough points, you can exchange them for cash or gift cards.

Most of these sites offer a wide variety of gift cards, including restaurants, Amazon, and big brand retailers.

Each GPT site has its own rewards system, so they each vary, but with most of them one point will be equal to one cent. So, in order to have $1.00, you’ll need to have 100 points.

Some sites will let you redeem your earnings at $1.00, while others require you to have a higher amount.

How Can They Afford to Give Out Money?

GPT sites make money from advertisers, a LOT of money. In turn, this allows them to offer small payouts to their loyal users.

 Suggestion

I highly suggest that you open a new email account just for the sole purpose of signing up for GPT sites. Here’s why. When you start signing up for offers, you’ll get bombarded with email offers. That’s why you need a separate email address just for these. Then it won’t matter about getting junk mail. You don’t want your regular email account to get bogged down with offers.

This is the only downfall to GPT sites, but I guess it comes with the territory.

 Final Thoughts About These Sites

It’s important to keep in mind, that these aren’t jobs and you won’t earn a full-time income with them. These websites are just a fun way to make a little extra cash every month.

For those of you not in North America, many of these sites are available to users outside of North America. Be sure to check their terms of service to find what countries each allows. In some cases, they may require you to sign up with your address before they’ll let you know if you’re country is eligible.
